At the end of World War II Mr. Reich moved his family to Detroit where he expanded his business into a complete wholesale jewelry operation supplying jewelry stores with gold and platinum mountings, diamonds and gemstones as well as servicing his customers with the experienced jewelers and diamond setters that he employed. 

In the 1960’s Mr. Reich and his son-in-law, Jerome Kroot expanded the operation by employing traveling Salesmen who carried their exclusive line of jewelry and gemstones to jewelry stores in Ohio as well as throughout Michigan.

The family’s first venture into retail Jewelry began in the early 1970’s when they opened their first retail jewelry store in Oak Park, Michigan.  As they say, "the rest is history". Today Foland’s is owned and managed by Heather Kroot, the third generation to serve the people of the Detroit area.  Ms. Kroot is GIA certified in diamonds, colored stones and diamond grading.
